CEC worked as a sub-consultant for the replacement of a junior high on a new 35-acre project site. CEC performed the site topographic surveying and performed civil engineering design services for the construction of the new school in a previous corn field. The services included site layout design, site grading design, utility design, storm water pollution prevention plans, storm drainage and detention design, and preparation of construction specifications. This included the design to NCAA standards of an athletic field complex with a six-lane track, football field, soccer field, six tennis courts, pole vault runway, triple jump runway, discus and shot-put areas, and a concession stand building. This site is in a rural area with no wet utilities, so CEC was selected to design the off-site water and sewer improvements necessary to provide those utilities. CEC designed a sanitary sewer lift station and a two-mile long force main to the CCMA treatment plant. CEC supported the school district by providing easements and right-of-way acquisition documents for the required offsite easements. Additionally, CEC provided construction administration and inspection services.
