This project included the site/civil design and construction of LISD’s new sports complex located within the Martin High School Campus. The project consisted of demolishing the existing stadium constructed in 1937 and rebuilding a new $12M facility. The sports complex includes a new state of the art stadium equipped with new artificial turf and now has a capacity of approximately 7,700 people. The project also constructed new buildings including a press box, home/away player dressing facilities, home/away concessions, athletic director’s offices, and the new Martin High School Field House. CEC evaluated the existing utility infrastructure and capacity and found that a complete redesign of the existing fire protection, water, sanitary sewer, and storm water system was required for the facility. These improvements included extending approximately 1,900 LF of 8” water lines, 1,600 LF of 8” sewer line, and 2,100 LF of storm sewer line varying from 12” to 42” in diameter.
