Keith Keppler, RPLS has joined CEC with over 25 years of surveying experience.  His background consists of GPS surveying, Mobile LiDAR, Terrestrial Scanning, UAS operations, pipeline routing, construction surveying, hydrographic surveying, control surveys, roadway design surveys, and land title surveys.

CEC in the News - SAWS Operation Service Center

June 2016

The SAWS Operation Center Project consists of the development of two separate operation center campuses.  One one Hunt Lane and the other at Loop 1604 and Tradesman in San Antonio. CEC was a subconsultant for this design/build project performing civil site work on both locations.  These two new sites will provide centralized operations to accommodate the city’s rapid  growth rate.

CEC in the News - Redland Road Groundbreaking

June 2016

On June 14, 2016, CEC was present at the groundbreaking for the new improvements of Redland Road. Improvements include the reconstruction and widening of Redland Road to four lanes with new bicycle lanes and sidewalks along the road from Loop 1604 to Jones Maltsberger Road. CEC was Bexar County’s Design Consultant for this project.   http://www.ksat.com/news/ground-broken-for-redland-road-project

 

CEC in the News - Harry Wurzbach and Austin Highway Interchange

June 2016

On June 7, 2016, a public meeting was conducted in regards to the proposed construction of a new entrance and exit ramps, and a single point urban interchange (SPUI) from Harry Wurzbach to Austin Highway.  CEC, the City of San Antonio’s Design Consultant, presented a the meeting to discuss/explain how the new intersection will ease traffic congestion in the area.  The SPUI design will be the first in the San Antonio area; second within the state of Texas.   http://www.ksat.com/traffic/improvements-coming-to-ne-side-intersection

 

Civil Engineering Consultants Announce New Professional Engineer

May 2016

CEC would like to announce that Roberto Erazo, P.E. recently earned his Texas Professional Engineering license.  He serves as a Project Engineer for the Infrastructure Division and has over five years of experience in civil design.  While attending college, he completed an internship with the San Antonio Water System and after went to work full time for the City of San Antonio. With the City, Mr. Erazo gained construction experience while working as a Construction Inspector. Since joining CEC, Mr. Erazo has been involved with multiple projects including street reconstruction, bridges, and utility systems such as drainage, water, sewer, gas, and electric.

 

Civil Engineering Consultants Announce New Professional Engineer

CEC would like to announce that Jaime F. Garcia, P.E. recently earned his Texas Professional Engineering license.  Mr. Garcia serves as a Project Engineer for the Laredo Division and has over five years of experience in civil design.  His experience includes street design, drainage crossings and channels, storm sewer systems, sanitary sewer systems, water distribution systems, master planning, subdivision design, and infrastructure improvements.

 

TSPS Surveyor of the Year Award

October 2015

CEC is very proud to announce Chester Varner, RPLS was named 2015 Surveyor of the Year by the Texas Society of Professional Surveyors (TSPS) at the annual conference in Dallas, TX.  This award is given annually to a Registered Land Surveyor in the state of Texas that has exhibited outstanding service to TSPS and the surveying profession.  In addition, the recipient must be recognized as a good and valuable citizen to the community.  Mr. Varner has been actively involved by serving as the Alamo Chapter 11 president in 1995 and 1997, and currently is on the Board of Directors.  As well, he holds the position of the state TSPS Education Chair.  Way to go Chet!!
